You agree that the English language versions of the Terms of Use will govern your relationship with WorldNews.CO.UK.

The Terms of Use apply to all users of the Website, including users who are also contributors of video content, information, and other materials or services to WorldNews.CO.UK.

By accessing or using our web site at www.WorldNews.CO.UK or the mobile version thereof (together the "Site") or by posting a Share Button on your site, you (the "User") signify that you have read, understand and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms of Use" or "Agreement"), whether or not you are a registered member of WorldNews.CO.UK. Contributions to the WorldNews.CO.UK

By sharing any contribution (including any text, photographs, graphics, video or audio) with the WorldNews.CO.UK you agree to grant to the WorldNews.CO.UK, free of charge, permission to use the material in any way it wants (including modifying and adapting it for operational and editorial reasons) for WorldNews.CO.UK services in any media worldwide (including on the WorldNews.CO.UK's site accessed by international users). In certain circumstance the WorldNews.CO.UK may also share your contribution with third parties.

You understand that whether or not such User Submissions are published, WorldNews.CO.UK does not guarantee any confidentiality with respect to any User Submissions.

You retain all of your ownership rights in your User Submissions, but you are required to grant limited licence rights to WorldNews.CO.UK and other Website users.

You understand and agree that you are solely responsible for your own User Submissions and the consequences of posting or publishing them. WorldNews.CO.UK does not endorse any User Submission or any opinion, recommendation, or advice expressed therein, and WorldNews.CO.UK expressly disclaims any and all liability in connection with User Submissions.

You represent and warrant that you have (and will continue to have during your use of the Services) all necessary licenses, rights, consents, and permissions which are required to enable WorldNews.CO.UK to use your User Submissions for the purposes of the provision of the Services by WorldNews.CO.UK, and otherwise to use your User Submissions in the manner contemplated by the Website and these Terms.

We normally show your name with your contribution, but for operational reasons this is not always possible. About your posts:

Contributions must be civil and tasteful.

No disruptive, offensive or abusive behaviour: contributions must be constructive and polite, not mean-spirited or contributed with the intention of causing trouble.

No unlawful or objectionable content: unlawful, harassing, defamatory, abusive, threatening, harmful, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, racially offensive or otherwise objectionable material is not acceptable.

Be patient: users of all ages and abilities may be taking part in the relevant WorldNews.CO.UK community.

No spamming or off-topic material: we don't allow the submission of the same or very similar contributions many times. Please don't re-submit your contribution to more than one discussion, or contribute off-topic material in subject-specific areas.

No advertising or promoting.

No spoilers: material which contains plot developments which haven't been transmitted on UK television will be deleted unless submitted in a designated 'spoilers' area or marked as a 'spoiler'.

Contributions containing languages other than English may be removed unless allowed in the relevant local house rules.

No impersonation.

No inappropriate (e.g. vulgar, offensive etc) user names.

URLs (web site addresses) can only be posted if allowed under any relevant local house rules.

Deliberate misuse of the complaints facility is not permitted. If you persist in doing this, action may be taken against your account.

WorldNews.CO.UK is not for pornography or sexually explicit content. If this describes your video or image, even if it's a video or a image of yourself, you agree not to post it on WorldNews.CO.UK. In addition, please be advised that we work closely with law enforcement and we report child exploitation.

You agree not to videos or images showing things like animal abuse, drug abuse or bomb making.

Graphic or gratuitous violence is not allowed. If your video shows someone getting hurt, attacked or humiliated, you agree not to post it.

WorldNews.CO.UK is not a shock site. You agree not to post gory videos of accidents, dead bodies or similar things.

Respect copyright. You agree to only upload videos that you made or that you are authorised to use. This means don't upload videos you didn't make, or use content in your videos to which someone else owns the copyright, such as music tracks, snippets of copyrighted programmes or videos made by other users, without the requisite authorisations.

We allow free speech, with in the law. But we do not permit hate speech (speech which attacks or demeans a group based on race or ethnic origin, religion, disability, gender, age, veteran status and sexual orientation/gender identity). There is zero tolerance of predatory behaviour, stalking, threats, harassment, invading privacy or the revealing of other members' personal information. You agree to adhere by these standards and laws. Anyone caught doing these things may be permanently banned from WorldNews.CO.UK.

Everyone hates spam. Do not create misleading descriptions, tags, titles or thumbnails in order to increase views. It's not OK to post large amounts of untargeted, unwanted or repetitive content, including comments and private messages.

You agree that you will not post or upload any User Submissions which contain content which it is unlawful for you to possess in the country in which you are resident, or which it would be unlawful for WorldNews.CO.UK to use or possess in connection with the provision of the Services.

You agree that you will not upload or post any User Submissions that are subject to any third party proprietary rights (including rights of privacy or rights of publicity), unless you have a formal licence or permission from the rightful owner to post the material in question and to grant WorldNews.CO.UK a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable licence (with right to sub-licence) to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display, and perform that User Submission in connection with the provision of the Services and otherwise in connection with the provision of the Website and WorldNews.CO.UK's business, including without limitation for promoting and redistributing part or all of the Website (and derivative works thereof) in any media formats and through any media channels; to each user of the Website, a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, licence to access your User Submissions through the Website, and to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display and perform such User Submissions to the extent permitted by the functionality of the Website and under these Terms.

WorldNews.CO.UK reserves the right (but shall have no obligation) to decide whether User Submissions comply with the content requirements set out in these Terms and may remove such User Submissions and/or terminate a User's access for uploading any User Submission which is in violation of these Terms at any time, without prior notice and at its sole discretion.

You further understand and acknowledge that in using the Website and the Services, you may be exposed to User Submissions that are factually inaccurate, offensive, indecent, or otherwise objectionable to you. You agree to waive, and hereby do waive, any legal or equitable rights or remedies you have or may have against WorldNews.CO.UK with respect to any such User Submissions.

When you upload or post a User Submission to WorldNews.CO.UK, you grant:

to WorldNews.CO.UK, a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable licence (with right to sub-licence) to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display, and perform that User Submission in connection with the provision of the Services and otherwise in connection with the provision of the Website and WorldNews.CO.UK's business, including without limitation for promoting and redistributing part or all of the Website (and derivative works thereof) in any media formats and through any media channels;

to each user of the Website, a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, licence to access your User Submissions through the Website, and to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display and perform such User Submissions to the extent permitted by the functionality of the Website and under these Terms.

The above licenses granted by you in User Videos terminate when you remove or delete your User Videos from the Website. The above licenses granted by you in User Comments are perpetual and irrevocable, but are otherwise without prejudice to your ownerships rights, which are retained by you.

Please take these rules seriously and take them to heart. Don't try to look for loopholes or try to lawyer your way around them just understand them and try to respect the spirit in which they were created. Violations of the Terms of Use may result in a warning notification or termination of your account. If your account is terminated you are prohibited from creating any new accounts.

You agree not to (or attempt to) circumvent, disable or otherwise interfere with any security related features of the Website or features that prevent or restrict use or copying of any User Submissions or WorldNews.CO.UK Content or enforce limitations on use of the Website or the content accessible on the Website.

You agree not to use WorldNews.CO.UK or any of its services for any commercial use, without the prior written authorisation of WorldNews.CO.UK. Prohibited commercial uses shall include, without limitation:

the resale of access to the Website or any of the Services on another website for the primary purpose of gaining advertising or subscription revenue; and the redistribution of the Services (including any User Submissions accessible through such Services) for the primary purpose of generating revenue, but shall not include uploading an original video to WorldNews.CO.UK, or maintaining an original channel on the Website in order to promote a business or artistic enterprise, and any use that is expressly authorised by WorldNews.CO.UK in writing;

In addition, you agree not to use the Service or the Site to:

register for more than one User account, register for a User account on behalf of an individual other than yourself, or register for a User account on behalf of any group or entity;

impersonate any person or entity, or falsely state or otherwise misrepresent yourself, your age or your affiliation with any person or entity;

upload, post, transmit, share or otherwise make available any unsolicited or unauthorised advertising, solicitations, promotional materials, "junk mail", "spam", "chain letters", "pyramid schemes", or any other form of solicitation;

upload, post, transmit, share, store or otherwise make publicly available on the Site any private information of any third party, including, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, Social Security numbers and credit card numbers;

solicit personal information from anyone under 18 or solicit passwords or personally identifying information for commercial or unlawful purposes;

upload, post, transmit, share or otherwise make available any material that contains software viruses or any other computer code, files or programs designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware or telecommunications equipment;

intimidate or harass another;

upload, post, transmit, share, store or otherwise make available content that would constitute, encourage or provide instructions for a criminal offence, violate the rights of any party, or that would otherwise create liability or violate any local, state, national or international law;

use or attempt to use another's account, service or system without authorisation from the WorldNews.CO.UK, or create a false identity on the Service or the Site.

upload, post, transmit, share, store or otherwise make available content that, in the sole judgment of WorldNews.CO.UK, is objectionable or which restricts or inhibits any other person from using or enjoying the Site, or which may expose WorldNews.CO.UK or its users to any harm or liability of any type.

Without limiting any of the foregoing, you also agree to abide by our WorldNews.CO.UK Code of Conduct that provides further information regarding the authorised conduct of users on WorldNews.CO.UK.

You agree not to use the Website and the Services (including the comments and email features in the Website) for the solicitation of business in the course of trade or in connection with a commercial enterprise;

You agree not to access User Videos (as defined below) for any reason other than your personal, non-commercial use solely as intended through and permitted by the normal functionality of the Services, and solely for Streaming. "Streaming" means a contemporaneous digital transmission of the material by WorldNews.CO.UK via the Internet to a user operated Internet enabled device in such a manner that the data is intended for real-time viewing and not intended to be downloaded (either permanently or temporarily), copied, stored, or redistributed by the user.

You agree that you will comply with all of the other provisions of the Terms and the WorldNews.CO.UK Community Guidelines at all times during your use of the Services.

WorldNews.CO.UK grants the operators of public search engines permission to use spiders to copy materials from the site for the sole purpose of creating publicly available searchable indices of the materials, but not caches or archives of such materials. WorldNews.CO.UK reserves the right to revoke these exceptions either generally or in specific cases.

WorldNews.CO.UK is constantly innovating in order to provide the best possible experience for its users. You acknowledge and agree that the form and nature of the Services which WorldNews.CO.UK provides may change from time to time without prior notice to you.

As part of this continuing innovation, you acknowledge and agree that WorldNews.CO.UK may stop (permanently or temporarily) providing the Services (or any features within the Services) to you or to users generally at WorldNews.CO.UK's sole discretion, without prior notice to you. You agree that you are solely responsible for (and that WorldNews.CO.UK has no responsibility to you or to any third party for) any breach of your obligations under the Terms and for the consequences (including any loss or damage which WorldNews.CO.UK may suffer) of any such breach.

You are solely responsible for the photos, profiles (including your name, image, and likeness), messages, notes, text, information, music, video, advertisements, listings, and other content that you upload, publish or display (hereinafter, "post") on or through the Service or the Site, or transmit to or share with other users (collectively the "User Content"). You may not post, transmit, or share User Content on the Site or Service that you did not create or that you do not have permission to post. You understand and agree that WorldNews.CO.UK may, but is not obligated to, review the Site and may delete or remove (without notice) any Site Content or User Content in its sole discretion, for any reason or no reason, including User Content that in the sole judgment of the WorldNews.CO.UK violates this Agreement or the WorldNews.CO.UK Code of Conduct, or which might be offensive, illegal, or that might violate the rights, harm, or threaten the safety of users or others. You are solely responsible at your sole cost and expense for creating backup copies and replacing any User Content you post or store on the Site or provide to the WorldNews.CO.UK.

When you post User Content to the Site, you authorise and direct us to make such copies thereof as we deem necessary in order to facilitate the posting and storage of the User Content on the Site. If you choose to remove your User Content you acknowledge that WorldNews.CO.UK may retain archived copies of your User Content. WorldNews.CO.UK does not assert any ownership over your User Content; rather, as between us and you, subject to the rights granted to us in these Terms, you retain full ownership of all of your User Content and any intellectual property rights or other proprietary rights associated with your User Content.

Your WorldNews.CO.UK Account:

If you use multiple logins for the purpose of disrupting a community or annoying other users you may have action taken against all of your accounts.

All accounts must be registered with a valid personal email address that you access regularly so that moderation emails can be sent to you. Accounts registered with someone else's email address, or with temporary email addresses may be closed without notice. We may require users to re-validate their account if we believe they have been using an invalid email address.

The WorldNews.CO.UK reserves the right to close accounts if any user is seen to be using proxy IPs (Internet Protocol addresses) in order to attempt to hide the use of multiple WorldNews.CO.UK accounts, or if an non UK user pretends to be a UK user, or disrupts any of our services in any way.

Safety:

We advise that you never reveal any personal information about yourself or anyone else (for example: telephone number, postal address, home address or email address or any other details that would allow you to be personally identified) in any WorldNews.CO.UK community.

Legal requirements:

You may not submit or share any defamatory or illegal material of any nature in WorldNews.CO.UK communities. This includes text, graphics, video, programs or audio.

Contributing material to a WorldNews.CO.UK community with the intention of committing or promoting an illegal act is strictly prohibited.

You agree to submit to or share with WorldNews.CO.UK communities only contributions which are your own original work. You must not violate, plagiarise, or infringe the rights of the WorldNews.CO.UK or third parties including copyright, trade mark, trade secrets, privacy, publicity, personal or proprietary rights.

If you're under 18:

If you breach these Community Rules:

If you fail to abide by these Community Rules (and/or any variations in relevant local house rules) when taking part in a WorldNews.CO.UK community, you will be sent an email which informs you why your contribution has been refused or edited. This email will also include a warning that continuing to break the rules may result in action being taken against your account or accounts.

This action may include any content posted by you being checked before allowed to go on the site or a temporary or permanent suspension of your ability to participate in any or all of WorldNews.CO.UK community areas.

If you submit or share offensive or inappropriate content to or with any WorldNews.CO.UK communities or anywhere else on WorldNews.CO.UK or otherwise engage in any disruptive behaviour on WorldNews.CO.UK, and the WorldNews.CO.UK considers such behaviour to be serious and/or repeated, the WorldNews.CO.UK may use whatever information that is available to it about you to stop any further such infringements. This may include informing relevant third parties such as your employer, school or email provider about the infringement(s).

The WorldNews.CO.UK reserves the right to delete any contribution, or take action against any WorldNews.CO.UK account, at any time, for any reason.

WorldNews.CO.UK Mobile Services

The Service includes certain services that are available via your mobile phone. We do not charge for these Mobile Services. However, your network provider's normal messaging, data and other rates and fees will still apply. You should check with your network provider to find out what plans are available and how much they cost. In addition, downloading, installing or using certain Mobile Services may be prohibited or restricted by your network provider, and not all Mobile Services may work with all providers or devices. You should therefore check with your provider to find out if the Mobile Services are available for your mobile devices and what restrictions, if any, may be applicable to your use of such Mobile Services. By using the Mobile Services, you agree that we may communicate with you regarding WorldNews.CO.UK and other entities by SMS, MMS, text message or other electronic means to your mobile device and that certain information about your usage of the Mobile Services may be communicated to us. In the event that you change or deactivate your mobile telephone number, you agree to update your WorldNews.CO.UK account information promptly to ensure that your messages are not sent to the person who acquires your old number.

Market Place Listing Rules

All Listings must be accurate and not misleading, and you may not use the Service in a fraudulent manner or to engage in any fraudulent activity or purpose or to impersonate any person or entity.

You may list an item in only one Listing at a time per network, and in the most appropriate category.

All real estate Listings must comply with the Federal Fair Housing Act, which makes it illegal to advertise "any preference, limitation, or discrimination because of race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status, or national origin, or intention to make any such preference, limitation, or discrimination." Your state or local jurisdiction may impose additional requirements, and your Listings must comply with those requirements as well.

You may not list any item for sale, lease or rent that is not in your possession or that you do not have the right to sell lease or rent at the time the item is listed.

You may not post any material that contains or links to any viruses, worms, Trojan horses, corrupted data or other harmful, disruptive or destructive files or programs.

You may not post in your Listings any content that is infringing, obscene, offensive, harassing, hateful, inflammatory, abusive, defamatory, harmful, fraudulent, or invasive or privacy or publicity rights or otherwise violates these Guidelines or the Terms of Use.

You may not promote, encourage or solicit illegal activity of any kind.

You may not offer, list, sell or lease any items that are designated in these Guidelines as Prohibited Items or that would violate these Guidelines in any manner.

All Listings and all transactions entered into through the Service must comply with all applicable laws, rules, regulations and restrictions, and you may not offer, list, sell, lease, solicit, request or provide anything through the Service in a jurisdiction where such action would violate any law, rule, regulation or restriction. The parties to a transaction are solely responsible for researching and determining the scope of the applicable law to determine whether a listing or transaction complies with applicable law.

Prohibited Items

Without limiting any of the restrictions contained elsewhere in these Guidelines or the Terms of Use, the following items may not be sold, leased, rented, provided or otherwise transacted through WorldNews.CO.UK Marketplace:

Firearms, ammunition and other weapons and related accessories (including martial arts weapons)

Fireworks or any destructive devices or explosives

Child pornography or obscenity

Illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia

Prescription or nonprescription drugs and medical devices

Lottery or raffle tickets, sweepstakes or content entries or gambling related items or devices

Used or rebuilt batteries

Bulk email or mailing lists that contain names, addresses, phone numbers, or other personal identifying information

Hazardous goods

Stocks, bonds, securities

Sexual services or sexually explicit materials

Alcohol or tobacco products

Goods made from protected animals/plants

Restricted or regulated plants and insects

Pesticides or hazardous substances

Illegal, stolen or counterfeit goods or knock-offs of brand name products

Blood, bodily fluids and body parts

False identification cards and police items

Hacking and illegal surveillance equipment and descrambling equipment

Termination

When we are notified that a user has died, we will generally, but are not obligated to, keep the user's account active for a period of time determined by us to allow other users to post and view comments.

Release

If you have a dispute with one or more users, you release us (and our officers, directors, agents, subsidiaries, joint ventures, employees, contributors, sponsors, administrators, or anyone else connected with WorldNews.CO.UK) from claims, demands and damages (actual and consequential) of every kind and nature, known and unknown, arising out of or in any way connected with such disputes.

Compensation

User Disputes

You are solely responsible for your interactions with other WorldNews.CO.UK users. We reserve the right, but have no obligation, to monitor disputes between you and other users.

Third party rights

A person who is not a party to this Agreement has no right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 to enforce any term of this User Agreement but this does not affect any right or remedy of a third party specified in this Agreement or which exists or is available apart from that Act.

Arbitration

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, NO ARBITRATION OR CLAIM UNDER THESE TERMS OF USE SHALL BE JOINED TO ANY OTHER ARBITRATION OR CLAIM, INCLUDING ANY ARBITRATION OR CLAIM INVOLVING ANY OTHER CURRENT OR FORMER USER OF THE SERVICE, AND NO CLASS ARBITRATION PROCEEDINGS SHALL BE PERMITTED. Indemnity

Resolution of disputes

WorldNews.CO.UK shall not be liable for any of the following losses or damage (whether such damage or losses were foreseen, foreseeable, known or otherwise): (a) loss of data; (b) loss of revenue or anticipated profits; (c) loss of business; (d) loss of opportunity; (e) loss of goodwill or injury to reputation; (f) losses suffered by third parties; or (g) any indirect, consequential, special or exemplary damages arising from the use of WorldNews.CO.UK regardless of the form of action.
